The St. Joseph Church Pictorial Directory committee is in need of volunteers to check-in families and individuals arriving for photography sessions for the Directory. Volunteers are needed on August 23-25, September 13-15, and September Shifts are in two and a half hour increments starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m. If you are interested, please contact Sherry Curran at or (501) BEACON OF HOPE GROUP REUNION AND INTRO TO GRIEVING WITH GREAT HOPE If you have ever attended a Grief Support Group at St. Joseph Church or want to attend our next Grieving with Great Hope Series starting September 29 th, please join us on Saturday August 18 th for the 4 PM Mass and dinner afterwards. The Beacon of Hope Ministry invites all past, present and future participants to come together to meet old friends and new ones who share the common bond of grief and desire for a future full of hope after loss. You will be greeted at the doors of the church by our volunteers and escorted to a reserved space where we will worship together. After Mass we will meet at the China Town Restaurant in the Town Centre on Hwy 65 to share a meal and fellowship. Information will be provided for those interested in learning more about Grieving with Great Hope. No reservations are needed for the reunion. RCIA: What is RCIA RCIA, (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), is a spiritual formation process for people who are interested in learning about the Catholic Faith and/or becoming members of the Catholic Church. Este tiempo privado ante el Santísimo ayuda a responder a la pregunta de los judíos, que discutían entre sí. Cómo puede este darnos a comer carne? (Juan 6:52). También, es de gran ayuda a nosotros, para experimentar una profunda apreciación de lo que es este regalo Divino de la Eucaristía. Es tan hermoso, profundizar en todo el capítulo seis de Juan, si usted puede leer y meditar en su oración se quedará maravillado de la profunda enseñanza sobre la Eucaristía. Desde la multiplicación de los panes hasta cómo el pan de vida es creer en el Hijo de Dios y el Cuerpo de Cristo. Agradecerá cómo Jesús, se ofrece como sacrificio al Padre para nuestra salvación. "En verdad les digo que si no comen la carne del Hijo del Hombre y no beben su sangre, no tienen vida en ustedes. El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre vive de vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré el ultimo día". (Juan 6:53-54). Pero, quizá se pregunta; Qué es hacerse pan? Por qué, si soy discípulo de Jesús debo hacerme pan para los demás? Y puede que sea bonito, pero de seguro no es fácil. Ser pan, significa ser menos egoísta y pensar en la esposa, esposo y los hijos antes que si mismo. Tus pertenencias ya no son tuyas sino compartidas con otros. También, significa estar a tiempo completo para la familia y no a pedacitos refunfuñando el tiempo para ellos. Ser triturados, amasados para ser pan es sacrificio, es servicio, es amor.
